Wow! I've been raving about this sandwich for two days. I was passing through Gallup and was feeling hungry, so I stopped on the west end of town, where there isn't much to eat. Across the street from a lonely Taco Bell was this place. I wasn't sure if I should take a chance on an unknown mom and pop place, but I decided to try it. The owners were very nice and I ordered a roasted turkey sub. While I waited for it, the donuts smelled amazing, so I ordered some to go for my family.

When I got back to my truck, the smell of the sandwich was so good, I decided to take a couple of bites before hitting the road. When I opened the traditional deli packaging, I was blown away by the size of the sandwich. The 6" was huge. And it looked amazing...

I didn't move my vehicle until I ate the whole thing. Mind you, it wasn't a small sandwich. It was super filling and probably more than I should eat in one sitting, but I couldn't help it. It was fantastic. Best sandwich I have had in years. I would have taken a picture, but I was too busy eating.

If I lived in Gallup, I would eat there just about every day.

Really good donuts, scratch made breads such as zucchini and banana, sweet empanadas, delicious breakfast burritos with fresh green chilies, hung out and talked to the owner and locals while enjoying everything about this homegrown spot. Loved every minute of my visit. Will be back

Big fresh sandwiches and fluffy donuts (and brownies)!! Friendly service. A great stop! Don't miss it.

Well I was not prepared for the  deliciousness a sub could contain.

On a work trip to Gallup my husband insisted we both had to come here! He had stopped here on his way back from work and decided to get the Ruben Pastrami sandwich. He saved me a piece and so it's journey began all the way to Albuquerque! It was amazing, so many flavors packed into this two quick bites. So on this trip of course I had to go! They have a good selection of doughnuts and sandwiches. This time we opted for the Pepper turkey avocado lettuce tomate 6" sub. It contained a very generous portion of all the ingredients but the best part was the bread. Never have I tasted such delicious deli bread! You go to subway and they heat it up you can still tell it's hard and bland. Not the bread at Westend, it was warm, fluffy and held the other ingredients in a nice warm hug. That's how I felt as I was eating it. I can't fully express how good that sub was!

Great experience, service, and staff. Hope to go again soon and check out their other subs!

We decided to stop here on the long drive home based on other reviews. The sandwich was filling and tasty enough and the donuts hit the spot. I could do without the scriptures inside, but to each his own. As far as I40 options between Albuquerque and Flagstaff go, this isn't a bad stop.
